Overview
Instructed by the master of the craft: Andrew Brassard – this course teaches firefighters how to perform safe, aggressive, and thorough VES using fundamental and progressive techniques. In this two-day course, students will learn the principles, skills, and procedures involved in VES. Understand and develop the most efficient search skills and become a Vent Enter Search expert, so you are equipped to effectively serve your community as a firefighter.
This course offers a completely hands-on experience, as students learn first floor VES, second floor VES, ladder tips and tricks, and the where, when, why, and how of VES. This course provides advanced insights and techniques, based off NIST (National Institute for Standards and Technology) and UL (Underwriters Laboratory) studies. This is where science meets the streets.
