The Southwest Fire Academy Fire Service Instructor Level I program is compliant with the NFPA 1041 Fire and Emergency Services Instructor Professional Standard (2019). This course is designed to provide skills and teaching techniques for those who will be instructing emergency services courses. This course is done entirely online. Upon registration, you will be granted access your online course.
Topics include: managing basic resources and records, understanding components of a lesson plan, developing training schedules and lesson plans, completing report writing, presenting and adjusting lesson plans, administering assessments, and understanding and utilizing evaluation tools.
This course takes approximately 40 hours to complete.

Candidates successful in this program will receive a certificate of completion from Southwest Fire Academy, and will qualify to complete OFMEM testing.
